Pleasant August

Sorry it's been so long since an update. This time last year we had a couple of tropical storms to talk about. This hurricane season has been mild so far with most of the activity staying off the east coast.


August is rapidly coming to an end and I really can't remember an August that was this pleasant over all. I know we've had cool months due to tropical storms....but I can't remember so many clear days with temps in the 80s and low 90s. I could almost survive this type of summer. In a few days the Weather Service will have stats for the month, which I will pass along.


We did get about a half inch of rain yesterday in two separate storms. That was enough to postpone watering for a few more days. In fact I have only run the sprinkler 3 times since the 4th of July.....yet my water bill hasn't gone down.
