Don't be fooled! The rain is not gone for long

Has the rain stopped for now? If so, for how long? No such luck. The sun may be shining this morning...but more rain is likely later in the week. If you're like me it's time for dryer and cooler fall-like air. In think in a week's time I received in the neighborhood of 8 to 9 inches of rain. Not as much as south Arkansas. If you remember, last year saw a lot of rain in September along with tropical storm winds. Above is the former willow tree of our neighborhood.

Speaking of storms.....how bout that big thunderstorm raging on Saturn. And another note of interest. It appears the Arctic ice minimum has peaked and in the last 30 years it ranked 3rd (not as much melting as the past two years). Experts blame the bigger ice on cooler weather this summer. Maybe Congress should rethink any additional clunker deals. If the ice continues to grow it could jeapordize global warming. Remember folks....people like Al Gore are the ones who will benefit the most from global warming. Maybe the trend will reverse next year. I'm still hoping to take a boat ride thru the Northwest Passage before I die.

We have sun today and it's almost blinding! I feel like a mole! :)

Yesterday I had to do a weeks worth of poop scooping! Argggh!!! NOT fun! Between work and rain there was no chance to scoop!

Yep, the wet stuff is back in our forecast tomorrow night, I think. Then highs in the 70s. I'll take those temps!!

Wouldn't it be nice to get this kind of moisture later on in the year ALONG with COLD temps??? !!!! As in snoooooooow!!!!

I'll check out the storm link!

Think we had about 6 inches in my neck of the woods.

As you know from my blog, we clocked in with 17 inches of rain at our house. I did manage a few poop-scooping sessions between downpours.

I do NOT relish the thought of more rain this soon.

grrr.
