I can see clearly now

Weather in the Big Apple was absolutely great this past weekend...you can see for miles and miles and miles. New York is a nice place to visit, but no way could I live there. Life is too fast and crazy. My highlight was the trip to the top of the Empire State Building. From the critic's corner: Wicked sucked, but Jersey Boys was outstanding. Fought-off the cologne samples at Bloomingdale's, passed on breakfast at Tiffany's, rode the wooden escalators at Macy's, viewed the reading rooms at the public library, browsed for hours at the Metropolitan Museum, gazed at the ice rink at 30 Rock, watched dogs chase each other in Central Park, rode passed the Dakota, walked the canyons of Wall Street, viewed Alexander Hamilton's final resting place at Trinity Church, walked past ground zero, rested in City Hall Park and took the R train back uptown, tried unsuccessfully to find a cabbie who had an American name, and pushed thru the crowds in Times Square. ; Definitely a fun weekend....but I'll take Hooterville for everyday life. Food was unbelievbly expensive....all I can say is thank God for McDonalds.

Our weather could see a little light rain over the next couple of days. It's still too warm with highs in the 70's and lows around 60.

Sounds like y'all had a great time! (hope you didn't take the wife to McDonald's for her birthday!!)

Funny...I feel the same way about MY hometown after spending time driving in the "big city" of YOURS! Seriously, I think it's just what you're use to.

*Sigh* you made me homesick for The City! I loved my time up in Mahwah and my frequent trips to The City....riding the Path with my buds, walking for hours on end, nights in the Village, strolls in Central Park, up and down Manhatten Island!!

Love the photo you posted!

Weather here is drizzly and getting cooler. I'm waiting...not so patiently....for.....(drum roll)... you know what?

SNOW!!!!!!

Well...highs in the low 70s for awhile is a start, I guess.

Had a similar trip to NYC in May and did the same plays. My sons had the same reviews on both but I liked both of them. We also did games at Yankee and Shea for their farewell seasons. Came home broke but had a ball.
