Ice Storm for parts of the state

Looks like some nasty winter weather headed for the state. North Arkansas is under a winter storm watch for the possibility of significient icing the first part of the week. They will be below freezing for several days. Here in central Arkansas we can possibly see some freezing rain Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Probably not much for travel problems, but it will be cold with highs not getting out of the mid 30s till Thursday. South Arkansas is looking for warmer weather with no freezing stuff. Keep an eye on the forecast this week.

I had a question on the photo at the top of the blog. That was taken from a turn-out at about 10,000 feet up Mauna Kea and is looking south toward Mauna Loa. Beyond Mauna Loa is Kilauea Volcano.

Love the photo!

The local weather people are teasing us with the possibility of some frozen precip late Tues. night into early Wed. morning. We'll see.

It was VERY cold here all day yesterday. I loved it!

I looks to be much more seasonable cold/cool this week which makes me happy. I sick of this 70-80 weather in Jan!!!!!! grrrr

Getting puppies to go out is a lot easier when it's not too cold and not wet.

Vic is supposed to come home on Wednesday for a few days, so I don't want the weather messing that up.
