Wet Holiday

I can't remember a fourth of July that was this wet. Lots of rain on Friday and Saturday. Yesterday afternoon we had a huge thunderstorm just to the south of us in Saline County. We still managed to get 1.50 inches of rain. The clouds and rain kept the high to just 86, which occured early afternoon. No rain the the forecast for today with a high expected in the low 90s.

On another note, TS Bertha continues to move westward. She could reach Hurricane status early in the week. Here is the latest from the NHC. Just move your mouse over the Bertha symbol and click for more information.

The picture in this post is of a sunset in the eye of a hurricane. Very colorful!

Love the photo! Kind of eerie, tho'.

Wet. We don't know wet around here. Just HOT! A triple-digit day here yesterday.

No significant chance of precip. in my immediate future. *Sigh*

We've missed the rain, too. Not that hot, though.
